I am an award-winning, independent writer, photographer and cookbook author based in Vancouver, B.C. My articles have appeared in various International magazines, from Scientific American to MORE Magazine, and national newspapers, including The Globe & Mail  and the National Post . I am a regular contributor to The Vancouver Sun and The Province,  and I'm the senior legal correspondent for LawyersandSettlements.com. Snappy, witty, and direct describes my style, along with tenacity and versatility to get the job done.

In 2016 I had the opportunity to re-write the entire website for ONE Hospitality Management, and O'Neill Hotels and Resorts website. I was then hired to write the company's newsletters.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Jane for over 10 years; most recently she wrote all the corporate communications for a client's digital needs. I highly recommend her."Shivauna Brown, Principal, R3 Creative Group

Due to a wealth of life experience to draw from, my interests are varied, and I have a level of confidence and understanding that makes for excellent, insightful interviews. I have experience as a copywriter, copy editor, researcher and proofreader. I have written and edited newsletters and brochures, book and television proposals, script coverages and analyses, web content and more.

As well, I have completed an editing certificate at Simon Fraser University and I was Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) BC Chapter President from 2010-2104.

I can assist you on many levels to communicate with your public and realize your goals—from copy-editing to writing proposals, reports and articles. My broad and diverse background in education makes me a desirable candidate for your project and whether helping with your MBA application or writing your menu, I promise to make you look good.

On a more personal note, the best trip I have ever taken was to India, where I visited Kavya, my sponsored child with the Christian Children's Fund of Canada (yes, they are doing good work).  It was life-changing.  If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, here is more about the rewards:
